·
The
older style of 2D Fingerprint Scanners copied a
photographic image of your fingerprint, and then
compared this to a previously stored image.
·
However, the Biometric 3D Scanning method plots
the unique Minutiae Points of your finger rather
than taking a photographic image.
·
Minutiae Points are created by the alternating
ridges and valleys which form the fingerprint.
·
By
mapping ridge endings and bifurcations, (a split
or division in the ridge), of the fingerprint
itself a unique image is plotted by the 3D
Scanner.
·
This information is then converted into a Binary
String of data, which is further processed
through Hardware Embedded Encryption to prevent
unauthorised access.
·
Through this combination of mapping your unique
Minutiae Points and then Encrypting the stored
data, an impenetrable barrier is created to
protect your stored data and files. |
